This auction will help Daisy who many of you so graciously helped back in August when she needed her first mouth surgery to try and control the cancer. That surgery went wonderful and she had two months of acting like a puppy again.....well now she's begging for help once again. Daisy is a 6 year old smooth, mini, chocolate and tan dachshund that found her way into rescue because her Mommy was passing away from cancer. Daisy is also fighting the monster we know as cancer, and we need help to pay for her next surgery. On Tuesday 12/12/06 Daisy goes in to have part of her bottom jaw removed. We are doing this surgery because Daisy is a fighter and isn't near ready to give up. She's very active, she's at a wonderful weight and as most dachshunds, she LOVES to eat. So please help Daisy keep fighting........Due to the fact Daisy's foster mom has a wonderful relationship with her vet he quoted a low price of $175.00 for the surgery, but I'm sure it will go higher. Daisy has Squamus Cell Carcinoma and it's overtaken 90% of the bottom of her mouth, but isn't into the top of the mouth or the throat so we are very hopeful at this point.
