Kevlar Housing:

A bulletproof -like housing structure strengthened with a body armoor of aluminum spiral shell & reinforced with kevlar fibre reduces the compression of the housing to give you the best responsiveness when braking or shifting...

Slick cables:

The inner cable are made from slick stainless steel coated with PTFE for ultra low friction performance. PTFE is a similar compund to Teflon, and has the same properties. Not only does it offer great 'non-stick' performance, but excellent protection from the elements too.
