Description:   The gala holiday December 1966 issue of Playboy is one of the most popular of the pre-1970 Playboy issues.  Playboy was at its zenith in terms of quality of pictorials and articles during the mid-1960s, and this issue certainly reflects this.  The issue includes a famous and hilarious interview of entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr. by "Roots" author Alex Haley, as well as features by Pearl Buck, Kingsley Amis, Brooks Atkinson, Lucius Beebe and Shel Silverstein.  Great retro/vintage ads!   A real blockbuster and a great 40th birthday or Christmas present if given this month!

Vargas Girl Pin-Up:  The issue includes a mint condition very sexy Vargas pin-up girl, who says "You'll need more than one shot to bag me, Mr. Thompson."  Playboy's vintage Alberto Vargas girl pin-ups are among the most attractive and sexy illustrations available, and often are removed and sold on eBay just by themselves.  You will receive the whole magazine, including the Vargas pin-up. See photo, left.

Condition:  These are reading copies and are not perfect, although they are well-cared for.  None of my magazines have address labels.  I have skimmed through all of the issues and most pages seem to be intact.   All issues have normal wear for their age (creases, folds) and are in good condition unless otherwise noted.  All covers and centerfolds are intact; however, in some instances the centerfold or other others pages may be loose from the staples (but still in the magazine).   Staples may have limited rust.  Please have realistic expectations of these 40-year old magazines.
