Up for sale is a Fender Rhodes Mark I electric piano. The pickup board is dated to the 37th week of 1974, indicating that this was one of the last instruments to bear the "Fender Rhodes" title. Starting in 1975, the Mark Is were first produced with only the "Rhodes" name. The piano is in good shape, but I am missing the hard road lid, the legs and the sustain pedal. Still, this is a very desirable model and the asking price is a fraction of what it would be for a complete piano. Even if you consider how much it would cost for a replacement set of legs and a pedal, it's still cheap.
Electrically, the piano is fine and sounds excellent. Physically it's a bit scuffed up, but this does not affect playing. However, one tine is broken (an easy, cheap fix) and one key does not come back up when you depress it. I think this is also an easy fix but I don't have time to go poking around inside the piano.
Due to the weight and size of the piano, I will not ship it. Local pick-up only from College Park, MD (just outside Washington, DC). I can help you get it into your car.
Paypal or cash on pickup. Please note that I have dealt with scammers before and will not respond to emails mentioning private shippers, money orders, private or bank checks or wiring money. Out of the question.
I will be away for a few weeks starting the 21st of December, so pickup must be before then or it will have to wait until early January.
Feel free to ask any questions; I'll answer to the best of my ability though I'm not an expert on Rhodeses.
